Costs
Our aim is always to get you the maximum amount of compensation that you deserve as quickly as possible but without you having to meet a large bill for legal costs. There are many different methods of funding a professional negligence claim and our specialist team will help you work out which one will be the best for you and your circumstances. The most common options are:Conditional Fee Agreement (No Win, No Fee Agreement)
In certain cases, we can act for you on the basis that if you proceed with your claim and lose, then we will not charge you for our time in pursuing the claim. In such cases we will also seek to put in place a legal insurance policy which will reimburse any legal expenses incurred by you. If we win the case we will seek payment of our fees, expenses and insurance policy from your opponent.
Legal Expense Insurance
Your household buildings and contents policies and certain other insurance policies may provide legal expenses cover which will fund your claim. We will check to see if you have such a policy and make an application to your insurer to cover the legal costs of your case.
Public Funding (Legal Aid)
Legal Aid is generally only available in fairly limited circumstances and as a firm we do not offer this as an alternative. If you wish to seek public funding for your claim we would recommend you go to www.legalservices.gov.uk.
