Hodgkinsons Solicitors have taken a significant leap forward after acquiring the law practice of Patrick J Taylor. The merged firm now offers an additional niche service of highly specialist litigation advice.
Patrick J Taylor’s practice is a niche commercial litigation firm with offices in London and Lincolnshire. The practice is based around Patrick Taylor who has been a specialist practitioner in London and Lincolnshire for a number of years. Patrick has acted for UK based and international clients in a variety of cases in all courts in this country. The team is made up of three lawyers – Patrick Taylor, Katherine Marshall and Alex Forster – is now offering its service to Hodgkinsons’ existing customers and to the wider community in Skegness, Lincolnshire and further afield.
Patrick Taylor said: “I carefully chose the firm I wanted to join”. He said: “It has been my ambition to grow the practice, however, expansion involves an ever increasing regulatory burden which detracts from our primary aim – to concentrate on our clients’ interests”. “I have known the Directors of Hodgkinsons for many years and the merger is a natural fit for both companies.”
Managing Director of Hodgkinsons, Che Shing Li, said: “I am extremely proud to welcome Patrick and his team to Hodgkinsons. There is a synergy in the work we do and our combined strengths will bring vast experience and specialisms that will enable us to provide a full range of services to all of our clients, new and old.”
Senior Associate Solicitor, Katherine Marshall, is currently studying for the Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists (“ACTAPS”) prestigious legal qualification. Upon completion, Katherine shall be made an Associate Member of ACTAPS and shall be one of only a few solicitors in the county with this qualification. Membership denotes a mark of excellence in this specialist field of law and further strengthens the offering Hodgkinsons can make in this fast growing area of legal practice.
The team excels in claims for professional negligence which includes claims against solicitors, accountants, financial advisors and all other professionals; examples being solicitors failing to inform their client about a problem with the property they are purchasing, under-settling personal injury claims or poor drafting of wills. This area of law also includes claims against other professionals including architects, surveyors, financial advisors and insurance brokers.
Hodgkinsons have also acquired Patrick J Taylor’s offices in London, allowing them to offer legal services to clients throughout UK.
Che Shing Li said: “The firm has further invested heavily into building new state of the art offices for the new employees in Skegness, as part of its strategic plan and implementation phase. This, combined with the launch of its new website in early 2016, will offer a unique service to all clients”.
Hodgkinsons offer face to face or telephone consultation relating to its services. Home visits are also available on request. An initial no obligation discussion is usually possible. If you would like to speak to a member of the Team please call 01754 897150 or submit an online enquiry form.
