In November 2020, Gemma Middleton joined our thriving Dispute Resolution Department to assist with their ever-increasing workload. Due to the growing demand of our Dispute Resolution Team, our Company have taken to expand the Team with the introduction of Gemma Middleton who will assist Sam Sleight with his thriving caseload.
Gemma originally joined Hodgkinsons Solicitors in 2016 to take the role as a Legal Assistant within our Industrial Disease Unit. In 2017 our Company provided Gemma with an opportunity to become a Trainee Paralegal within our Dispute Resolution Team, which Gemma accepted. For two years Gemma assisted our Dispute Resolution Team with a variety of civil litigation cases, including:

- Debt Recovery
- Employment Claims
- Professional Negligence
- Construction Disputes
- Neighbour Disputes
- Company & Partnership Disputes
- Contract Disputes
- Boundary Disputes
In late 2019, Gemma obtained a Certificate of Higher Education in Law. By obtaining this qualification, Gemma was elevated from her role as a Trainee Paralegal, to the role of a Paralegal. To take the next step in her Law career, Gemma is currently working towards her LLB (Hons) from home in addition to her in-office hours.
Throughout her career here at Hodgkinsons Gemma has gained experience to support her studies by assisting various departments. Gemma’s promotion is a reflection of her ability to assist in a number of legal fields which demonstrates her diverse spectrum of knowledge. Gemma always pays an exceptional level of commitment and determination to every role she fulfils, and we look forward to watching her career develop further as she returns to our Dispute Resolution Team.
