Did you know our Residential Conveyancing Department is part of an accredited scheme?

The Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) – a mark of excellence for residential conveyancing practices that was set up by the Law Society in 2011 is becoming more and more visible amongst law firms but what exactly is it?

Did you know our Residential Conveyancing Department is part of an accredited scheme?

The Conveyancing Quality Scheme is a recognised standard for conveyancing practices which demonstrates that we have the expertise required to deliver first-rate conveyancing advice. By being a part of the scheme further demonstrates that we have the relevant specialist knowledge  to educate you, as Clients, on what to expect when instructing us, as Solicitors, and allows us to use standardised processes which both recognise and reduce the associated risks that come with conveyancing.

For a Firm to be awarded the associated kitemark that comes with the Conveyancing Quality Scheme they must undergo a rigorous application process and be reviewed on their standard of practice. The fact that we are going into our 10th year of membership shows just how dedicated we are to providing you with the best Conveyancing service that we possibly can.

The scheme itself requires members to complete mandatory training within 6 months of being given the accreditation and to abide by certain timescales and management practices to ensure that the high standards you are used to is maintained. Some Lenders may even require you to use a CQS accredited conveyancer in your transaction.

As a CQS accredited firm you can expect the following from us:-

  • Work carried out to a high standard and a well-established level of credibility;
  • Highly qualified conveyancers;
  • A professional, courteous and efficient service;
  • A clear description of all steps that we must follow during each transaction;
  • Keeping you up to date with every aspect of your conveyancing matter and ensuring that you understand the process;
  • Being readily available to answer all questions and queries you may have in relation to your matter.

Purchasing a home is arguably one of the biggest purchases anyone will make in their lifetime which is why it is absolutely essential that you trust your conveyancer in completing the necessary steps to the highest standard that they possibly can when carrying out your transaction. As such, it is important to look out for the CQS kitemark when deciding which Law firm to use.
