Hodgkinsons Join St Barnabas in ‘Make a Will Month’ this May

If you are looking to create or make amendments to a Will, whilst supporting our local Hospice, our ‘Make a Will Month’ may be of interest to you.

Hodgkinsons Join St Barnabas in ‘Make a Will Month’ this May

Throughout the month of May, Hodgkinsons are teaming up with St Barnabas Hospice for their ‘Make a Will Month’. Hodgkinsons continue to support their local charity of choice, St Barnabas Hospice, by dedicating their time and expertise free of charge to allow St Barnabas to benefit from donations rather than a fee, which will contribute to the Hospices’ future.

In return for a donation or gift left in their Will to St Barnabas Hospice, Hodgkinsons will be offering to make a Will for participants. Appointments are welcome from anyone over the age of 18 who are looking to create a new Will or make changes to an existing Will. The event encourages people to make plans for their future/end of life whilst helping to raise vital funds for St Barnabas Hospice.

Having a Will in place ensures that your wishes are followed after your death and that your legacy is passed on whilst allowing you to protect and remember friends, family and causes most meaningful to you. By making a Will you are able to say how you would like your Estate to be divided amongst your loved ones whether it be property, shares, savings, investments or personal possessions.

Tina Hill, Chartered Legal Executive and Head of Wills & Probate commented: “Many people do not realise that they need a Will and become surprised when writing down their assets. It is important to make a Will at any point of life. Even if you think you have nothing, there is always something to sort out. If you are married, have kids, own a home or a business, I definitely recommend making a Will and what better way to do so than supporting your local Hospice at the same time.”

Currently, one in five St Barnabas’ patients are supported by a gift left in a Will. These gifts benefit those in the care of St Barnabas Hospice across Lincolnshire who are living with a life-limiting or terminal illness, and also their families and carers.
