Hodgkinsons Solicitors, a local business serving the community of Skegness has been awarded for their outstanding service and empathetic work ethics, particularly towards elderly customers. The award followed the companies work within Dementia community which Tina Hill, Head of the Wills & Probate Department, stands as co-chair to the Skegness Dementia Action Alliance. Tina has also helped Hodgkinsons to become a ‘Dementia Friendly’ organisation through her work as a ‘Dementia Friend Champion’.
T.E.D ‘Talk, Eat and Drink’ in East Lindsey, is a six-year Big Lottery Funded project which is inspired by Lincolnshire’s food heritage and aims to see older people getting out and about more to become increasingly involved in social activities which aims to encourage positivity and sense a of self-wellbeing.
To achieve the T.E.D Award, Hodgkinsons underwent a process of assessments and mystery shoppers which they were required to meet a range of criteria’s for. The criteria included things such as excellent customer service including staff training and attitude, a clutter free environment, customer comfort, clear marketing and communications and accessibility. Numerous volunteer mystery shoppers either visited or contacted the company to gather evidence against the award criteria. Upon completion of the Age-friendly Business Award process, Hodgkinsons were given feedback which confirmed that they had been successful and were therefore awarded with a certificate in acknowledgement of the achievement.
