Hodgkinsons Say Goodbye To Experienced Legal Duo

Leading Lincolnshire Law Company, Hodgkinsons Solicitors, is saying a fond farewell to husband and wife team Tim and Wendy Miller, who are retiring at the end of April following a combined tenure at the firm of almost 60 years.

Hodgkinsons Say Goodbye To Experienced Legal Duo

After starting his career in Boston, Lincolnshire in 1981, Senior Director Tim joined Hodgkinsons in 1984, as part of a fledgling team of 4. Since then, Tim has been an integral part of the continued growth and development of the firm, which now employs more than 40 members of staff in Skegness.

In a successful career, Tim has focused primarily on high value matrimonial disputes and complex litigation cases, whilst also developing the firm’s Firearms department – using his specialist knowledge to challenge firearm certificate decisions made by the police.

Senior Probate Executive Wendy began her career at Marks & Spencer as a Supervisor, and went on to work for a Government training organisation before joining Hodgkinsons in the early 1990s as a probate clerk. After 15 years spent in the Wills & Probate department, Wendy became Practice Manager, before taking on a supervisory role within the probate department.

Steve Hill, Hodgkinsons Director and Solicitor, comments on their retirement:

“Tim and Wendy have been absolutely essential to the continued success, expansion and development of Hodgkinsons Solicitors over the past 30 years and without them, the firm wouldn’t be where it is today. They will be sorely missed by everyone at the firm, both as professionals and as colleagues, and we wish them a long and happy retirement together.”

After retirement, Tim plans to work with The Prince’s Trust charity, mentoring young people from across the region, helping them to progress in their careers and to start successful businesses. Wendy wants to volunteer in the local community, supporting elderly people who are struggling with loneliness.

Outside of his professional life, Tim enjoys shooting and fishing, and is a member of several community and charitable organisations across the region, which he hopes to spend more time with in retirement. Wendy is a keen gardener and dog lover and is looking forward to being able to spend more time in the garden and walking with their five spaniels.

Tim will be handing over his caseload to Consultant Solicitor Patrick Taylor, whilst Wendy will be passing her responsibilities on to Victoria Traves and Tina Hill in the Wills & Probate team.
