Daisy joined Hodgkinsons Solicitors in July 2021 as an Apprentice, having recently completed her studies at John Spendluffe Technology College, Alford. We thought this would be a great opportunity to catch up with Daisy to let you all know how is she is getting on in our thriving Property department which has recently seen a demand in services.
To see just how far Daisy has come, we asked her a few questions:
How has your time at Hodgkinsons been so far?
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Hodgkinsons Solicitors so far and a lot of that is down to the lovely, friendly people I have come across throughout the Company. Everybody has been so helpful, and I look forward to learning more from them. I have also had the pleasure of meeting previous Apprentice’s who have progressed through the Company which motivates me to work hard to get to where they have got to.
What does your typical day consist of?
I have been very busy as I had anticipated having been recruited in to one of the busiest departments. My typical day consists of file openings, scanning, updating files and archiving. The majority of my day is based on opening files due to the high demand in conveyancing work. I am enjoying learning from others and also learning certain aspects of the law through reading the documents we send to Clients.
How do you find working as part of a Team?
I feel extremely lucky to be working alongside a great group of people within the Property team. I feel like we work well as a team to meet the demand. I especially like the fact that my team mates make time for each other despite being so busy. I also like that they’re willing to share their knowledge between each other which will help me to develop my skills.
Is it what you expected working in a Law Firm?
I always knew working in a law firm would fast paced, but despite this, the individuals I work around keep going and strive to do their very best for each and every client, which to me is inspirational. That in itself tells me why Hodgkinsons is such a highly rated Law firm in Lincolnshire and I can see why Clients travel far and wide to come to Hodgkinsons. It has been my dream since a young age to work in a law firm so I had high expectations. Despite this however, it has been better than I could have ever imagined.
Within her role, Daisy will continue to assist within our Residential Property Department which comprises of Robert Foster, Reece Brant, Alice Solomon, and Cameron Hill. Daisy continues to show commitment and dedication to her job role and is fast becoming an integral part of the Property team
