Reece joined the team here at Hodgkinsons Solicitors, Skegness, as a Conveyancing Executive in January 2021 with over 10 years of experience in the local property market and has an extensive range of knowledge in property law.
Reece started his career as a school leaver joining a local law firm and learning “on the job” throughout his time there. In January 2020, Reece qualified as a Conveyancing Technician following successful completion of the SQA Level 4 Diploma in Conveyancing Law and Practice.
Thereafter, following 1200 hours of Practical Experience in a Conveyancing Role under the direct supervision of our Head of Commercial and Property Department, Robert Foster, we are proud to announce that in November 2021, Reece qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer. Licensed Conveyancers specialise in all legal aspects surrounding buying and selling properties in England and Wales. We caught up with Reece to learn more.
Why did you choose to take this qualification?
The correspondence course allowed me to study in the evening after work which was important for me especially having a young family.
Which aspects do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy assisting Clients through what is, more often than not, one of the more stressful experiences when buying or selling a property, to ensure that I make matters as stress free as possible. I particularly enjoy teething out difficult issues with Land Registry Titles. I also enjoy rectifying Land Registry Title Plans, identifying an issue and then working with the other side and the Land Registry to obtain a solution.
Where do you see yourself in the next few years?
I would like to continue with my career progression with Hodgkinsons, moving on to more complex commercial matters in the future.
