1. Why did you want to become an Apprentice?
Following the completion of my A Levels I had originally planned to go to university. I applied to do law at university and received offers but decided to have a gap year. During this gap year I decided that the experience of university wasn’t for me and that I would prefer a role where I am learning whilst working. The idea of being an apprentice and learning and working felt more suitable to me than going to university.
2. Why did you choose to work and study part-time?
I have always wanted to take my education as far as possible, however, university doesn’t offer valuable experience that working and studying part time does. I wanted to have the benefit of education as well as the benefit of working around those with more experience of whom I can learn from. I had become used to learning myself as I completed the majority of my A Level studies during Covid-19, so I thought I was well equipped to take this route.
3. What do you hope to achieve through your Apprenticeship?
Throughout my apprenticeship I hope that I can learn from those around me and become efficient at what is expected of me. As well as this, I hope that I can become integrated into the team and become an integral part of what we achieve. In terms of education, I also hope to achieve the best possible in my assessments by the end of the apprenticeship. I am sure that with the help of those around me these goals will be very achievable.

Before applying for the role at Hodgkinsons, I went online and researched about the Company. I felt a very welcoming environment from the company website and felt that the success the Company has with Clients was something that I wanted to be part of. I also browsed through the twitter page where it was obvious how well the employees are appreciated. The many positive Client reviews made it an easy decision to apply for the role.
