Working in Wills & Probate, Victoria, 25, first came to the company as a Paralegal in July, having already attained vast experience in the industry.
Victoria showed great enthusiasm, passion, commitment and legal knowledge in the relatively short time she joined the company, the Directors were delighted to offer her a Training Contract.
Victoria said: “I really enjoy working in Wills & Probate and know this is the area of law which is suited to me as it is relatable”.
“It is nice to be able to help people when they are going through what can be a really difficult and stressful time.”
Victoria joins the team at Hodgkinsons Solicitors with a Bachelor of Laws degree from Nottingham Trent University where she graduated with a 2:1 in 2011. She then went on to study the Legal Practice Course part-time at Nottingham Law School whilst working. She graduated from this course in July this year, achieving a distinction. As a Trainee Solicitor with Hodgkinsons Solicitors, she will also complete a professional skills course over the next 18 months.
Raised in Swaby and a former pupil of the Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School in Alford, Victoria finds her Lincolnshire roots helps her establish good and lasting working relationships with clients.
She said: “Being from Lincolnshire means I have a common ground with clients.
“People often come to me at a very difficult time for them and my aim is to make the process of Wills or Probate as easy as I can for them”.
“Some clients come to me with no idea what to do. Often, either a loved one has died or they need to plan what will happen when they are no longer around. I help break it down for them and determine their goals and how they want their affairs to be managed.
“Having a Will is very important, whatever your age or circumstances.
“If you die without having prepared a Will (intestate) your estate may not necessarily go to who you would want.
“Having a Will offers peace of mind and what you would like to happen.
“It is also a quick process, a lot quicker than people often think.”
Each Will is an individual personal document to suit your circumstances and needs.
Hodgkinsons Solicitors recommend that Wills are reviewed every three to five years to reflect any changes in your circumstance. Anyone who already has a Will with Hodgkinsons Solicitors is offered a discount when it is time for a review.
Victoria also specialises in Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection applications.
