On 25th September the chance to nominate a business for the 2018 Skegness Business Awards reached its deadline. The awards have been receiving entries throughout the summer and has now moved into the judging phase. Each category Judge will now shortlist their nominations down to the final three with the highest scores. The three finalists will then be contacted to make arrangements for a visit by their Judge who will aim to learn more about who they are and what they do in order to distinguish the winner. The judging phase will be followed by a celebration event at the end of November where the winners will be announced and presented with an award.
In the recent years the awards have proved to be a huge success. This year there are 10 categories which have received a substantial amount of entries which will provide more local businesses with the opportunity to win an award. This includes the category of Best Accommodation, which is sponsored by Hodgkinsons Solicitors. There are also some new categories for 2018 which include a Green Award and a Wellbeing Award. By adding additional categories, the awards open up to a variety of businesses and provide a chance for new companies to take part.
Once Hodgkinsons Solicitors have completed their judging for their category of ‘Best Accommodation’ they will then begin preparations for the celebration event where they will join fellow local establishments to celebrate the best of Skegness Businesses. Hodgkinsons would like to wish all the contestants great success in the upcoming stages of their journey towards the final.
