With the increasing complexity of crop management and sophistication of agriculture, Farmers rely on the specialist expertise of Agronomists to ensure crop and yield expectations are met. Where an Agronomist has made an error or omission, it may be possible to pursue a claim for financial compensation against the Agronomist.

For example, a Farmer may rely on the advice of an Agronomist to eliminate weeds in crops. Relying on the advice of the Agronomist, the Farmer may use a particular herbicide. If that herbicide causes the yield to fail, it may be possible to pursue financial compensation against the Agronomist.
