It is estimated that more than 2 million people across the UK now cycle at least once a week. Sadly, one of the more negative statistics is the amount of serious injuries caused to cyclists. Human error has been found to be the main contributory factor involving cyclist accidents and driver error is the most frequently reported reason for the accident occurring involving 90% of all reported accidents.

Unfortunately, cycling accidents frequently involve serious injuries. Hospital statistics reveal that over 50% of cycling injuries involving a motor vehicle included head injuries ranging from minor concussion to skull fractures and brain injury.
