The Little Princess Trust

In 2019 Amanda Smith, a Personal Injury Lawyer here at Hodgkinsons Solicitor Skegness, selflessly pledged to raise money and awareness for her chosen charity by cutting her hair short.

The hair was donated to the Little Princess Trust, a charity who uses donated hair to create real hair wigs which they give to children and young adults who are suffering hair loss due to illnesses such as Cancer and Alopecia. This is not the charity’s only focus. All proceeds raised in the run up to the hair cut also contributed to enabling research to continue in the field of Childhood Cancer. Therefore, the employees here at Hodgkinsons worked together to raise as much money as possible for the charity by hosting in-office fundraising initiatives.

Amanda Smith, employee of Hodgkinsons Solicitors commented: “I did not do this to change my life, but to change the life of someone else. We often take things such as our hair for granted, whilst for others, having hair is a distant dream. I hope that by donating some of my hair I might help a young person through their battle by boosting their confidence and motivating them to keep fighting.”

Hodgkinsons are proud to announce that Amanda's hair cut took place on Friday 27th September 2019, raising a fantastic sum of £1,030.00! Read our blog to find out more: https://www.hodgkinsons.co.uk/news/local-lawyer-raises-over-1000.00-in-charity-hair-chop
