Cancer Research UK

As of January 2020, Hodgkinsons Solicitors, Skegness, are proud to have joined the ‘Free Will Scheme’ ran by Cancer Research UK in a bid to raise funds to help beat Cancer. This means that you can now get your Will written for free by our expert Wills & Probate Lawyers here at Hodgkinsons.

Did you know that 1 in 2 people born in the UK after 1960 will be diagnosed with Cancer at some point in their lives? This is why we are taking action to help beat Cancer sooner.

If you would like to leave a gift to Cancer Research within your Will, our Lawyers can help you to do that, however, it is not compulsory. Clients are under no obligation to leave a legacy to Cancer Research, but the majority of Clients choose to do so. Leaving a gift in your Will to Cancer Research is just one way which you can help to make a difference to the future of those affected by Cancer.

One advantage of this scheme is that by making a donation in your Will, you do not need to pay anything now as this money will come out of your Estate after you have passed away. While the Cancer Research UK Free Will Service is free to you, please do think about making a bequest to Cancer Research UK to support their work.

There are terms and conditions of the scheme, one being that you have to be over the age of 18 years old to qualify. The scheme applies for basic single Wills, basic mirror Wills, single codicils and mirror codicils. Your Lawyer will advise you regarding the complexity of your Will and whether your circumstances meet the criteria. There are currently restrictions on the number of times Clients can use this service, however, your Lawyer can also advise you on this if it is necessary.

Having a Will is crucial as it outlines what should happen to your money, possessions and property once you die. All you have to do is contact us here at Hodgkinsons to make an appointment with one of our dedicated Wills & Probate Lawyers. During your initial consultation your Lawyer will discuss your requirements and decide whether you meet the criteria for the free Will scheme.

Our Lawyers will always offer a supportive and friendly service, with straightforward and clear guidance through every step of the process. We serve Clients on both a national and local basis throughout the East Midlands and rural Lincolnshire to include Skegness, Boston, Lincoln and Grimsby. If you are interested in using the Cancer Research UK Free Will Scheme and leaving a gift in your Will, please contact our Team of expert Lawyers by calling 01754 897150 or submit a contact form and a member of the Team will be in touch.
