Snowdon Challenge 2019
On Saturday 27th July, Tina Hill, a Lawyer within the Wills and Probate Department at Hodgkinsons Solicitors Skegness, climbed Mount Snowdon to fundraise for St Barnabas Hospice Lincolnshire.
The distance covered was approximately 18 miles and the trek was completed in 7 hours, reaching the summit at 6.30am before making their descent back down. Climbing Snowdon through the night brings another sense of achievement to an already recognised feat.
To congratulate Tina on this fantastic achievement the Team at Hodgkinsons Solicitors held a bake sale on Monday 29th July in aid of Tina’s challenge. The proceeds raised from the in-house bake sale contributed to Tina’s cause to boost the sum of money already raised. Through this challenge alone, Tina raised £638.75 for the Hospice, raising £388.75 over the original target of £250.00! You can find out more about Tina’s challenge on our blog and view her experience within our gallery.
Tina Hill, a Lawyer within the Wills and Probate Department commented: “The trek was definitely challenging at points, but I believe that my adventurous spirit, open mind and willing sense of adventure got me through it. The feeling of knowing that you are taking part for such a worthy cause makes it very much worthwhile and I hope that I have made St Barnabas proud.”
St Barnabas is a local charity who provide palliative care to those living with a terminal or life limiting illness within Lincolnshire. For the previous four years St Barnabas have been Hodgkinsons’ charity of choice due to the emotional connection that some employees have with this charity.
